Mental Health Emergencies: For urgent psychological concerns students can call the on campus police at (859) 572-7777 or the crisis hotline (513) 281-CARE (2273)
Counseling Center: Chase students are eligible for services offered by NKU’s Health, Counseling, and Student Wellness Center. Most services are covered by insurance and for those without insurance; a schedule of fees can be obtained from the center. Services include: online screening programs, individual counseling, couples counseling, group counseling, referrals to outside resources, consultations, and educational presentations. All services are confidential, except in the case of life-threatening circumstances or legal mandates.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 4:30PM.
Call (859) 572-5650 to make an initial appointment; students are typically seen within the same week. Please note that there is always a counselor available for emergencies.

**Additionally, law students can access services provided by the Kentucky Lawyers Assistance Program (KYLAP). KYLAP is confidential SCR 3.990. KYLAP, a program of the Kentucky Bar Association, works with members of the legal community (law students too!) in the Commonwealth of Kentucky who struggle with mental health issues and/or substance abuse which could impact the practice of law.
